A hearty cold-weather stuffing with brown and wild rice in addition to walnuts, sage, celery, onion and seasonings.
- In skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat; add onions and sauté 1 minute. Add celery and garlic and continue sautéing 2 minutes.
- Add rices to vegetable mixture and continue sautéing 5 minutes to heat through. Stir in walnuts, sage, salt and pepper and mix well. Stir in stock and mix well. Transfer to a butter full-size steam table pan. Bake in 350˚F conventional oven, or 350˚F convection oven, for 20-25 minutes, or until completely heated through.
- To Serve: For each serving scoop out a 3/4 cup portion onto a plate and garnish with a fresh sprig of sage. Serve with roasted meats, pork or turkey.
