- Place the wasabi powder in a small bowl. Add enough warm water to make a smooth paste. Stand back; the fumes that rise from the bowl can irritate your eyes. Spread the mixture across the bottom of the bowl and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Place the bowl upside down on a work surface for 10 minutes to allow the flavor to develop.
